We love to help women start their families! For a woman under 35, it is customary to take up to 12 months to conceive a pregnancy. If it takes longer, we can consider evaluation and treatment options. For women 35 or older, we can consider evaluation and treatment after six months of trying without success. An evaluation may include blood work, imaging, and sending male partners for a semen analysis. Gynecologists treat with lower-risk oral medications, such as Clomid or Letrozole. For more intensive infertility treatment, such as intrauterine insemination or IVF, we will coordinate a referral to one of our REI partners.
Dr. Zaander does not deliver babies, but once you get that positive pregnancy test, we are happy to confirm pregnancy, get first-trimester care going, and help refer you to an OB for ongoing care.
